I believe what they meant by “never supported” is that Microsoft never officially made sure Zune would work on Windows Many pieces of older software still run fine on Windows 10, but there’s no guarantee that something made for Windows 7 and earlier, and that hasn’t been upgraded and supported for Windows 10, will work on Windows I hope Zune does work for you though!
